Welding Engineer
Reports to: QA/QC Manager
Location: Dallas, TX 75228
Pay Range: $75,000 - $80,000 annually
SUMMARY
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Welding Engineer for our client in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining welding systems, processes, and parts. The ideal candidate will leverage their knowledge of engineering, physics, metallurgy, materials, and welding to enhance quality and efficiency.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Design: Create and/or update welding procedures (PQR, WPS, etc.) and standards.
- Evaluate: Examine and evaluate welds, test and troubleshoot welding issues, and provide corrective actions.
- Plan and Document: Plan and document welding operations and train welders on new techniques and procedures.
- Research: Research and develop improved welding techniques and equipment.
- Quality Control: Ensure quality control for various materials joining activities.
- Support: Troubleshoot and support welding manufacturing processes and optimize production capabilities.
- Communicate: Collaborate across cross-functional departments.
- Promote: Foster and adopt a culture of continuous improvement.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS WILL INCLUDE:
- Experience as both a welder and an engineer, with at least five years of welding-related experience.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL POSSESS:
- A bachelor's degree in welding engineering or a related field.
- Licenses or certification from organizations such as the American Welding Society.
OTHER SKILLS THAT WILL SET YOU APART:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex industry-related documents.
- Ability to effectively respond to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
- Strong diplomacy skills for negotiating differences in design or detailing.
