Job Description

Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Tax Manager with a consulting services client in Richardson, TX. The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and identifying tax-saving opportunities while minimizing liabilities. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, external advisors, and other stakeholders to achieve financial and operational objectives while adhering to legal requirements. This role is majority on-site with some hybrid flexibility.

Tax Manager Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax exposure
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal laws and regulations
  • Review and prepare tax returns, including Federal and Texas income tax
  • Conduct regular tax planning reviews and identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies
  • Oversee tax audits and coordinate with external tax authorities as necessary
  • Supporting management with with ad-hoc reporting requests and analyses
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their potential impact on the company's tax position
  • Collaborate to integrate tax planning considerations into financial forecasts and budgets
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on tax related matters, including transactions, contracts, and business initiatives
  • Support and lead tax related projects
Tax Manager Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Masters degree preferred
  • CPA required
  • 5-7 years of relevant tax experience
  • Must be proficient and proactive in Excel 
  • Must be willing to work onsite
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement tax strategies that align with business objectives
  • Ability to prep multiple entity partnership and LLC tax returns
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Proven track record of successful tax planning and compliance management
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
