Table Funding Mortgage Processor
Location: Tampa, Florida 33602
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite; Monday and Friday remote)
Note: Must be willing to come into the Tampa office 5 days a week if arrangements change.
Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is recruiting for a Mortgage Processor for our client, located in Tampa, FL. The Table Funding Mortgage Processor will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of mortgage loans, from application through to closing. This includes working closely with internal teams, external customers, and third-party vendors to ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mortgage processing, with a strong understanding of private lending, secondary markets, and construction loans, including rehab and ground-up construction projects.

The Table Funding Mortgage Processor will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of mortgage loans, from application through to closing. This includes working closely with internal teams, external customers, and third-party vendors to ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mortgage processing, with a strong understanding of private lending, secondary markets, and construction loans, including rehab and ground-up construction projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collect, package, review, and reconcile loan application documents.
- Order and perform preliminary review of all third-party reports (appraisal, inspection, and environmental).
- Review loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets established standards.
- Answer questions regarding loans and transactions.
- Run and/or review credit reports and verify accuracy of information with employers.
- Record data on the status of loans, including new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied.
- Work with the originator to clear any outstanding conditions prior to submitting the package to the closing department.
- Collaborate closely with the offshore processing team.
- Liaise with Underwriting and Closing to ensure end-to-end processing of the loan.
- Maintain communication with external customers, internal departments, and third-party vendors to promote positive business relations and update loan status.
Job Requirements:
- Associate's degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mortgage processor (commercial preferred).
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including managing files and records.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid onsite arrangement; subject to change.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well in a high-energy, deadline-driven environment.
- Resourcefulness and ability to find alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with all phases of loan processing.
- Knowledge of private lending, secondary markets, and construction elements such as rehab and ground-up construction is helpful.
