Position Summary:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Sustainability Coordinator for a fast-paced operations environment in Addison, TX. This role plays a key part in supporting sustainability initiatives by managing dispatch, logistics, and vendor coordination to ensure environmentally responsible practices are integrated into daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability, a strong logistical mindset, and the ability to lead by example in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and dispatch teams and vendors for sustainability-focused field projects.

Optimize routing for efficiency, fuel reduction, and environmental impact.

Track the movement and proper handling of recyclable and waste materials.

Support execution of sustainability projects in alignment with client goals.

Communicate regularly with internal teams and external vendors.
-
Monitor live operations and adjust dispatching plans as needed.
-
Analyze data and identify opportunities to reduce environmental footprint.

Maintain accurate records for recycling rates, fuel consumption, and other key metrics.
-
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company sustainability standards.

Collaborate with operations and field teams to maintain project timelines and resource allocation.

Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of waste diversion and recycling programs.

Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues in real-time.

Promote best practices and continuous improvement across operational teams.

Support reporting, analysis, and documentation for sustainability metrics and KPIs.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
Experience:
-
3–5 years of experience in sustainability or operations roles.
-
1–2 years of dispatching, coordination, or leadership experience highly preferred.
-
Prior experience in logistics, recycling, or environmental services is a plus.
Required Skills and Competencies:
-
Strong understanding of sustainability practices and environmental regulations.
-
Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
-
Proficiency with dispatching tools, routing software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
-
Ability to analyze data and identify operational improvements.
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
-
Capable of solving problems independently and adapting to changing priorities.
-
Bilingual proficiency a plus but not required.
Additional Requirements:

Must be able to work onsite in Addison, TX.
-
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Must be able to start immediately or within a short timeframe.
