Job Description:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Survey Technician to conduct physical phone surveys in hospital and clinic spaces. This role involves collecting accurate data on phone setups, locations, and configurations to support audits, upgrades, and equipment installations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct phone surveys by visiting designated hospital and clinic spaces.
- Log phone details such as location, model, usage, and functionality using survey tools.
- Coordinate access requirements (badge, key, escort) with site personnel.
- Record technical specifications, including phone numbers, MAC addresses, and hardware setup details.
- Follow site-specific protocols, including obtaining permissions before entering restricted areas.
- Document setups through detailed photographs of phones, wall connections, and surroundings.
- Communicate survey progress and findings with relevant stakeholders.
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols and maintain professionalism in sensitive environments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in IT or telecommunications is a plus.
- Proficiency in tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals and administrative staff.
- Familiarity with phone systems such as Cisco, Avaya, or Nortel is preferred.
- Physical ability to navigate large facilities and carry light equipment.
- Experience in data collection or technical surveys.
- Basic knowledge of network and phone configurations.
- Familiarity with hospital or office environments.
Tools and Requirements:
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required due to clinical environments (facemask, gowning, gloves, etc.). These will be provided onsite.
- Comfortable working in a hospital setting.
- Communication skills to provide updates and coordinate with teams.
- Familiarity with the "Guide to Conducting a Phone Survey" prior to the job start.
Health and Onboarding Requirements:
- Background check, drug screen, and vaccination records are mandatory.

- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
- Influenza
- COVID-19 Vaccine
Work Environment:
- Onsite work at hospitals, clinics, or corporate offices.
- Physical activity such as walking, standing, and occasional bending or kneeling.
- Adherence to strict safety protocols in healthcare settings.
