Registered Nurse – Surgical Telemetry Unit
 

Position Type: Full-Time (FT)
Shift Availability: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); day and night shifts currently available
Compensation: $32 - $45/hr (Depending on Experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 based on eligibility
Differential Pay: Available
On-Call Requirement: Yes

Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Telemetry Unit. This role involves providing direct clinical care, including assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care for assigned patients on a shift and unit level. The RN will also supervise delegated staff and support the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective patient care, maintain staff competency, and optimize resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assume responsibility for patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of appropriate clinical interventions.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, enhance patient satisfaction, and maintain continuity of care.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor patient progress, document care and interventions accurately, and report changes to the medical team.
• Act as a patient advocate, fostering effective communication with patients and families to provide education and emotional support.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Required: Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s (BSN) or Master’s (MSN) degree in Nursing.
  • New Graduates Accepted.
• Experience:
  • One year of telemetry experience preferred.
  • CCRN certification preferred.
• Licensure & Certification:
  • Valid Multi-State RN License required. Candidates with an RN license from another compact state must obtain a Multi-State RN License from the state of residence within 30 days.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required within six months of hire for PCU roles.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
