Job Description
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Staff Accountant with a marketing agency in Rockwall, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Controller and other upper management to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Maintaining records of financial transactions
- Entering and paying bills by utilizing Quickbooks
- Creating invoices and verifying accuracy
- Reconciling entries to balance accounts
- Resolving discrepancies by investigating and issuing stop payments and/or adjustments
- Maintaining financial security by following internal accounting procedures
- Maintaining a balanced general ledger
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements
- Other responsibilities as requested
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related preferred; HS diploma or GED required
- At least 3 years of experience with AR/AP
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Must be willing to work onsite Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Understanding of industry benchmarks in accounting best practices
- Knowledge of IFRS, U.S. GAAP or other industry standard accounting frameworks
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet
