Compensation: $28 - $39/hr (Depending on Experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a reputable healthcare facility in Rock Hill, SC. This role is suitable for graduates of AMA/CoARC-approved Respiratory Care programs and requires candidates to obtain licensure within five months. The RRT will be an integral part of the healthcare team, providing comprehensive respiratory therapy services and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to optimize patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapeutic and rehabilitative respiratory procedures and diagnostic tests for patients with or at risk of cardiopulmonary abnormalities.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement patient-specific cardiopulmonary care plans.
• Conduct patient assessments, evaluate therapy effectiveness, and determine the delegation of care activities to other team members.
• Administer prescribed medical gases and aerosolized medications and manage oxygen therapy.
• Perform and maintain blood gas analysis and related equipment.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring proper function and patient safety.
• Conduct patient rounds, coordinate with the Respiratory Case Manager or Senior Respiratory Therapist on care plans, and educate patients as necessary.
• Oversee and support the training of employees and students, acting as a preceptor when needed.
• Function as an in-charge therapist if required, demonstrating leadership in the clinical setting.

Qualifications:

1. Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
2. Education: Completion of an AMA/CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program; Associate's degree in Science, Allied Health, or equivalent.
3. Licensure: Must obtain licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in South Carolina within five months of employment.
4. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
5. License: Active license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of South Carolina.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
