MRI/CT/Radiologic Technologist
Location: Detroit, MI
Shift Availability: Days/Nights
Compensation: $29 - $42/hr (Depending on Experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 based on experience
On-Call Requirement: Yes
Differential Pay: Available
Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking skilled MRI, CT, and Radiologic Technologists to join a leading specialty referral hospital known for its cutting-edge surgical and medical expertise. This facility is renowned for its Centers of Excellence in neurosciences, bariatric surgery, vascular services, cardiovascular services, hypertension management, stroke prevention, and heart failure care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiological exams under general supervision, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness, updating medical history and assessing potential risk factors.
- Clearly explain procedures, including potential side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up care.
- Set up and operate imaging equipment, obtain high-quality images, document findings, and communicate observations to the radiologist.
- Recognize and respond effectively to medical emergencies, providing post-care instructions as prescribed by the physician.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, contributing to quality of care, patient flow optimization, and patient satisfaction.
- Provide training and guidance to residents, student technologists, and new team members.
- Fulfill on-call/standby duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), or by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Training: Completion of AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) training required by the end of the orientation period.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or advanced certification in MRI (MR) or by ARMRIT.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
