Job Title: RN Supervisor – Surgical TraumaÂ
Location: Rock Hill, SC
Employment Type: Full-Time | 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
On-Call: Yes
Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center
Unit: Surgical Trauma / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Compensation:

Pay Range: $37 – $58.22/hour (based on experience)

Night Shift Differential: $4.50/hr

Weekend Differential: $3/hr

Full-Time Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 (paid over 2 years)
Position Summary:
The RN Supervisor collaborates with the Director to ensure continuous, safe operation of the assigned department. This includes oversight of patient care, staffing, fiscal responsibilities, and strategic unit goals. The Supervisor promotes a safe and professional environment for patients, employees, and visitors while maintaining clinical competency across all patient populations. Responsibilities include implementing, supervising, and evaluating patient care to meet unit and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and evaluate nursing staff, including Charge Nurses, Leads, and other team members.

Ensure safe and effective patient care in the Surgical Trauma Unit and PCU.

Manage staffing, scheduling, and on-call coverage.

Support orientation and ongoing professional development of staff.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Monitor patient outcomes, quality indicators, and operational performance metrics.

Promote a culture of service excellence and teamwork.
Unit Overview:
-
PCU (Progressive Care Unit / Step-Down Unit): Care for patients too sick for general med-surg floors but not critical enough for ICU, including cardiac, respiratory, neuro, or post-surgical patients requiring closer monitoring.

Surgical Trauma Unit: Care for post-operative and trauma patients, including those recovering from accidents, injuries, or surgical interventions.
Qualifications:

Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Experience: 2–3 years of Acute Care experience; prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred (Charge Nurse, Lead, or Supervisor roles).

Licenses & Certifications:

Valid RN license (Permanent Multi-State or apply for Compact State license within 30 days)

AHA BLS/CPR required

Additional unit-specific certifications required within orientation period
