Job Title: RN Supervisor – Med Surg
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shifts Available: Day (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) – 1 Opening | Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) – 2 Openings
Hours: 12-hour shifts
On Call: Yes
Location: Fort Mill, SC
Pay Range: $37 – $58.22/hour (based on experience)
Shift Differentials: $4.50/night | $3/weekend
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 (paid over 2 years)
Position Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is recruiting an RN Supervisor – Med Surg for a full-time, onsite role in Fort Mill, SC. The RN Supervisor collaborates with the Director to ensure the continuous, safe operation of the medical-surgical department, overseeing patient care, staffing, fiscal responsibility, and unit strategic goals. This position functions as a clinical and leadership resource, implementing, supervising, and evaluating safe patient care practices while promoting a safe environment for employees, patients, families, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the Med Surg unit, including patient care, staffing, and workflow.

Serve as a designated leader for implementation and evaluation of clinical care practices.

Promote a safe environment for staff, patients, families, and visitors.

Maintain clinical and professional competency appropriate to patient populations served.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, including charge nurses, shift supervisors, and leads.

Support Service Excellence behaviors and promote positive patient and family experiences.

Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals of the unit.

Participate in hiring and onboarding processes and assist in staff performance evaluations.
Required Qualifications
Education:
-
Associate degree in Nursing (required)
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience:
-
2–3 years of acute care experience required
-
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred (e.g., charge nurse, shift supervisor, lead, manager)
Licenses & Certifications:
-
Permanent Multi-State RN License in the state of residence (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

American Heart Association BLS/CPR Certification required
-
Additional certifications required by unit, to be obtained within orientation period
Skills & Abilities:

Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills

Ability to manage patient care operations effectively in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in electronic medical records and unit management systems

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with nursing and multidisciplinary teams
