Job Title: RN Clinical Supervisor – Emergency Department (FT Days)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) – 1 Opening
Hours: 12-hour shifts
On Call: Yes
Location: Rock Hill, SC and Fort Mill, SC
Pay Range: $37 – $58/hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Paid out over 2 years
Additional Bonus: AIP Eligible
Position Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is recruiting an RN Clinical Supervisor – Emergency Department for a full-time, day shift role. The Clinical Supervisor, in collaboration with the Director, ensures the continuous safe operation of the Emergency Department, overseeing patient care, staffing, fiscal responsibility, and strategic unit goals. This role functions as a designated leader, implementing, supervising, and evaluating safe patient care practices while promoting a safe environment for employees, patients, families, and visitors. The RN Clinical Supervisor maintains clinical and professional competency appropriate to the patient population and promotes excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Serve as a clinical and administrative leader, supervising staff and supporting leadership goals.

Implement and evaluate patient care practices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Monitor staffing, patient flow, and unit performance metrics.

Promote a safe and supportive environment for employees, patients, families, and visitors.

Maintain professional competency in Emergency Department clinical practices.

Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff, including charge nurses and unit leads.

Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve departmental strategic objectives.

Ensure mandatory certifications and competencies are maintained for all staff.
Required Qualifications
Education:
-
Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required

Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
-
Permanent Multi-State RN License in the state of residence (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

American Heart Association BLS Certification (required upon hire)
-
PALS, ACLS, and CPI certifications required within orientation

Other unit-specific mandatory certifications as required within orientation
Skills & Abilities:

Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to manage patient care operations effectively in a fast-paced ED environment

Proficient in electronic medical records and unit management systems

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with nursing and multidisciplinary teams
