Job Description
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager with an industrial manufacturing client in Lincoln, NE. As QA Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of quality assurance programs in compliance with ASME and ISO 9001 (latest edition) certification/surveillance/auditing for the plant. You will plan, direct, and coordinate all plant quality assurance programs, designed to ensure continuous production of quality products consistent with established standards by performing quality department duties personally, or through quality department personnel. This is an on-site role, reporting to the Lincoln office Mon-Fri.

Quality Assurance Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Manages the Quality Assurance department, performs all normal management responsibilities of personnel and department budget.
- Develops and maintains the quality system. Develops, formulates, and administers Quality Assurance/Quality Control programs, and develops and maintains Quality Assurance manuals, records, and reports in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
- Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate quality system objectives. FMEA, Control Plan, Internal Audits, Calibrations/MSA, Document Control, MRB, NCR.
- Manages the ASME & ISO certified programs.
- Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures. Develops programs, tests, etc., to monitor quality, resolves quality related problems, and to track improvements.
- Interprets quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in organization.
- Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
- Provides inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
- Directs workers engages in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Works with vendors to insure quality of all purchased parts for company use.
- Plays active role on quality management teams within organization, including reporting of various quality metrics.
- Designs and implements quality assurance training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers. Develops and conducts training programs for department personnel and plant personnel in general, regarding Quality Assurance & ISO 9000 procedures, methods, and techniques.
- Collaborate with appropriate supply chain members to assure compliance to the corporate supplier quality program
- Analyze supplier quality data, communicate supplier quality to applicable stakeholders in a timely manner and perform supplier quality audits and evaluate corrective actions based upon the supplier quality program.
- Supports sales through the review of customer specifications and provides feedback in the form of clarifications, exceptions, and additional costs.
- Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality for the entire project.
- Must have ability to travel - generally by air and utilization of a rental car - regularly, in conducting position responsibilities. Includes ability to handle luggage and attaché’ cases, etc. normal to business travel of varying length duration.
- Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.
- Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner.
- Support peers and management with internal and external projects
- Supports continuous improvement projects.
- Adhere to company policies.
- All other duties directed by the company.
- BS Degree in related discipline preferred or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience or more in quality assurance and manufacturing or related field preferred;
- ASME Code, ISO 9001 principles, philosophy, and auditing procedures; blueprint reading; root cause analysis; standard work; continuous improvement; quality measurement tools, calibration and use;
- Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP experience required;
- SixSigma GreenBelt certification preferred.
