Job Title: QA Test Lead, Mobile
Location: On-Site in Redmond, WA
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
About the Role
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a QA Test Lead, Mobile for an on-site opportunity in Redmond, WA. This role is ideal for experienced quality assurance professionals with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for mobile software testing. The QA Test Lead will manage multiple projects and testers in a fast-paced environment, driving quality and consistency in lab and production testing from a customer perspective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain test documentation aligned with business and functional requirements

  • Lead and execute the full Testing Life Cycle (TLC)

  • Manage client test devices and SIMs

  • Develop, manage, and triage system/software defects

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify effective solutions

  • Create and execute manual and automated test cases

  • Archive all documentation accurately using Denali and client SharePoint systems

  • Monitor testing progress, provide timely status reports, and escalate issues as necessary

  • Mentor, train, and manage assigned QA testers

  • Facilitate testing meetings, report updates, and ensure deliverables meet expectations

  • Conduct lessons learned and post-deployment assessments

  • Perform domestic/international roaming testing

  • Adapt to client needs including nights or weekends if required
Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • 1–5 years of experience in a QA Test Lead role

  • 5+ years of overall QA and software testing experience

  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall)

  • Demonstrated experience with client-server systems

  • Proven ability to read and interpret testing requirements
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

  • ISTQB Certification

  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Rally, and Quality Center

  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of system infrastructure and software development

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple resources

  • Familiarity with creating Level of Effort (LOE) assessments

  • Proven track record of adapting to changing project demands and deadlines
Work Environment

  • 50–100% on-site depending on the project

  • Professional office setting with standard equipment

  • Occasional lifting/moving of equipment (up to 25 lbs) required

  • Frequent use of computers and office machinery
