Job Description
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for researching and ordering equipment or parts from the most cost-effective suppliers at a moderately complex level. Processes returns, shipments, and credits for assigned groups of equipment.
Contract Duration: 6 months
Location:Â Remote
Responsibilities:Â
• Uses knowledge of equipment within a trade area to source equipment supply requests (including HVAC parts, pools, and appliances) from contractors at the best possible price and terms.
• Uses a sourcing database to locate available equipment from approved suppliers.
• Researches and orders requested equipment from the most cost-effective suppliers.
• Works directly with contractors to resolve discrepancies in the purchase orders and determines correct equipment needed or arranges for substitutions, etc.
• Processes returns for cancellations.
• Enters purchase orders and documents purchases within the customer claim.
• Answers inbound calls and makes outbound calls; provides necessary follow-up.Â
Required Skills:Â Â
• Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing trade is a plus
• Ability to provide customer service and conflict resolution effectively
• Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Web)
• Good attention to detail skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Minimum Experience required:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 1- 3 years of customer service and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Additional Information:
Physical Role Requirements: Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits, such as movement of wrists, hands, and fingers while picking, pinching, and typing during your normal working environment. Â
