The Property Maintenance/Groundskeeper will be responsible for the interior and exterior upkeep of multiple private estates at Eagle Mountain Lake. This includes maintenance, repair, and renovation required for all structures and grounds throughout various seasons of the year. Property Maintenance/Handyman Job Responsibilities:
- General outdoor property maintenance, including groundskeeping, mowing, weeding, edging, lawn care, and landscaping.
- General Handyman projects, including basic carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, water well systems, boat dock and sea walls, wildlife and grassland conservation, and household routine maintenance issues.
- Types and timing of projects are seasonally focused on year-round cycles:
- Spring/Summer – Groundskeeping (90% of time); Handyman projects (10% of time)
- Fall/Winter - Groundskeeping (10-15% of time); Handyman projects (85-90% of time)
- Successful completion of a high school diploma or GED.
- Sound knowledge of lawn care, landscaping, weeding, and mowing + a general knowledge of grass, trees, and shrubs during different seasons of the year. Road grading experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of carpentry, electronics, general electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, water well systems, irrigation systems and pumps, modern security devices, and wildlife and grassland conservation.
- Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance, i.e., changing oil, minor gaskets, and hoses.
- Ability to safely use common power and hand tools.
- Ability to operate various rental equipment, i.e., stump grinder, excavator, skid-steer loader.
- Ability to drive a company vehicle.
- Must be tobacco-free and able to pass a 10-panel drug screen and nicotine test.
- Responsible, reliable, honest, trustworthy, and accountable to the Owners and families
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
- A sixth-sense ability to identify potential problems based on certain hazardous conditions, anticipate potential damage to property, and act proactively to minimize consequences.
- The majority of work will be done outdoors. Dress should be appropriate for the task at hand, with an expectation of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
