Finance Learning & Development Program Manager
Location: Remote (Central Standard Time preferred)
Employment Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $45/hour
Travel: Up to twice per year
Start Date: ASAP

Job Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Finance Learning & Development Program Manager to support ongoing Finance Transformation initiatives. This position will focus on translating current finance processes into comprehensive onboarding and continuous training programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, adult learning theory, and program management, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams within and outside of the finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and finance leaders to scope learning initiatives and define project goals.

  • Develop timelines, budgets, and resource plans for learning programs.

  • Design and implement scalable training materials for both onboarding and ongoing employee development.

  • Manage internal and external contributors, including vendors, to ensure timely delivery of learning solutions.

  • Track milestones, deliverables, and report project status to leadership.

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training opportunities.

  • Develop engaging content in various formats, including eLearning, instructor-led, and blended learning.

  • Measure learning outcomes and effectiveness through KPIs and participant feedback.

  • Maintain training governance, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.

  • Continuously improve content and programs based on learner data and performance metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or Program Management, preferably within Finance or Corporate Services.

  • Strong understanding of learning design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile).

  • Expertise in adult learning theory and curriculum development.

  • Hands-on experience with eLearning tools (Articulate, Captivate, LMS platforms).

  • Strong data analysis skills for evaluating learning impact.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
