Pay Range: $45.08 – $69.86 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 (paid quarterly over 24 months)
Relocation Assistance: Available for qualified candidates
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, full-time; some weekends required

Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a full-time outpatient opportunity in Palm Springs, California. The role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy services in an innovative, multidisciplinary rehabilitation environment.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans under physician direction.

Deliver effective, evidence-based therapy interventions to patients of all ages.

Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all patient encounters, including evaluations, progress notes, and treatment updates.

Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and discharge coordination meetings.

Provide supervision and mentorship to Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides as required.

Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific criteria and apply treatment strategies appropriate to the patient population served.

Meet departmental productivity standards and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.

Participate in ongoing professional education and provide at least one in-service annually to peers or team members.

Support department-wide goals, cross-cover as needed, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
Required:
-
Active California Physical Therapy (PT) license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.

BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist (new grads may be considered).
Preferred:
-
Experience supervising Physical Therapy Assistants or Aides.

Experience in outpatient or hospital-based rehabilitation settings.
Additional Details

Shift: Day shift (8-hour schedule; some weekends required).

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Physical Therapists are not part of a collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

Candidates must successfully complete background and pre-employment screenings.
