Employment Type: Direct Hire
Work Environment: Onsite
Compensation: $79,000 – $115,000 annually (based on experience, location, and seniority)
Sign-On Bonus: Available

Position Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking experienced Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Center Directors to support outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation centers across the Greater Atlanta, Georgia area.
These roles focus on helping patients recover from injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain while restoring mobility and functional ability. The patient population primarily includes individuals with workers’ compensation injuries, as well as patients recovering from non-work-related orthopedic conditions.
For Center Director roles, candidates will also provide clinical leadership and operational oversight while delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring strong clinical outcomes.

Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Rehabilitation
-
Provide direct patient care focused on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and improving functional outcomes
-
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
-
Execute therapy plans emphasizing early intervention and same-day evaluations when appropriate

Deliver high-quality rehabilitative services for injured or disabled patients
-
Ensure documentation, coding, and charge capture are accurate and completed in a timely manner
Clinical Leadership (Center Director Roles)
-
Lead clinical operations within the therapy center while maintaining a strong patient care presence
-
Manage and monitor clinical performance metrics related to patient outcomes and quality of care
-
Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to therapy staff
-
Address outlier cases and support therapists in improving patient outcomes
-
Promote best practices in physical therapy and occupational rehabilitation
Operational & Workflow Management
-
Ensure efficient patient scheduling, referral processing, and workflow management
-
Optimize patient access and operational efficiency within the center
-
Monitor key clinical and operational metrics to support center performance
-
Assist with staffing needs and ensure appropriate coverage for patient care
Client & Referral Relationship Development
-
Build and maintain relationships with employers, referral sources, and payer groups
-
Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
-
Support business development initiatives through engagement with community partners
Compliance & Quality Assurance
-
Ensure compliance with state practice acts, workers’ compensation regulations, and healthcare standards
-
Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality standards including HIPAA and PHI regulations

Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
-
Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Georgia (or ability to obtain prior to start)

Minimum 2 years of clinical physical therapy experience
-
Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation preferred
-
Experience treating workers’ compensation injuries is a plus
-
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred for Center Director roles

Strong clinical knowledge of orthopedic physical therapy practices

Ability to evaluate patients and develop effective rehabilitation plans

Strong communication and patient relationship skills

Ability to lead and mentor therapy staff

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
