This role is open to both experienced clinicians and new graduates and offers opportunities to work in areas such as Neurorehabilitation, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, and more. Education bonuses are available to support professional growth.

Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitative care across a variety of clinical specialties. This role is open to both experienced clinicians and new graduates and offers opportunities to work in areas such as Neurorehabilitation, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, and more. Key Responsibilities

Evaluate patients’ motor, functional, and neurological capabilities and document findings
-
Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans
-
Administer standard physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercise, heat, cold, ultrasound, traction, electrical stimulation, and other modalities
-
Instruct patients in rehabilitative exercises and the safe use of assistive devices such as braces, splints, and ambulation aids
-
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate

Complete all documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with departmental standards

Develop and educate patients and families on home exercise programs during hospitalization and upon discharge
-
Co-sign documentation completed by physical therapy assistants, aides, and students as required

Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and care coordination discussions

Supervise, instruct, and evaluate assigned physical therapy assistants, aides, students, and/or volunteers
-
Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies; recommend equipment or supply purchases as needed

Maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education, workshops, and professional development activities

Support interdisciplinary programs and service line initiatives
-
Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, effective communication, innovation, and a commitment to quality patient care
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
-
Current and active Physical Therapist license in the State of Michigan
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in specialty areas such as neurorehabilitation, orthopedics, sports medicine, inpatient rehabilitation, or pediatrics
-
Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team
