HRIS PeopleSoft Specialist

Location: Dallas, TX (Remote with occasional onsite requirements)
Employment Type: Contract
Remote/Onsite Expectation: Candidates should be located in the DFW area to pick up equipment and undergo some training. The role will primarily be remote with minimal onsite presence required.
Responsibilities:

  • Collects and interprets specifications required to develop new and revise existing software applications.
  • Maintains and supports PS HCM and data by researching and resolving issues/problems.
  • Documents and understands PeopleSoft implemented functionality, including customizations and reports.
  • Provides system training, forms processing assistance, and technical support to managers and co-workers.
  • Assists and supports end users with HCM/HRIS reporting or functionality issues.
  • Works with functional and technical resources to manage exception processes, minimizing impact on related processes.
  • Provides and understands HRIS functional requirements in context with system capability.
  • Leverages existing and new technology and resources to help HRIS function efficiently.
  • Assists managers with the development and implementation of operational plans for new and existing business computer applications, including preparation of user specifications.
  • Coordinates testing of new applications and changes to existing applications to ensure integrity and quality of data while providing and/or assisting in training system users.
  • Compiles complete, concise, and comprehensive policies and operation procedures to assist in communicating Information Resources issues to applicable management staff.
  • Assists in the development of new system administrative procedures required, utilizing new functionality resulting from system changes.
  • Assists in developing and implementing business Information Resources strategies to improve operational processing and productivity.
  • Responsible for monitoring the development of specifications and establishing priorities for accomplishing design and testing of various projects.
  • Reviews, develops, recommends, and implements activities related to assigned activities, programs, or functions.
  • Maintains and tracks accounts assigned to projects or programs.


Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, or other related field required.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible business systems and/or Information Technology project experience, with exposure to systems or project development and testing, installation, and training, required.
