Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Payroll Processing Supervisor in Frisco, TX! The Payroll Processing Supervisor oversees the Payroll Processing team’s day-to-day functions, while training and developing team members and ensuring duties are performed both timely and accurately. Payroll Processing Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Evaluating the accuracy of the payroll by, monitoring the processing team’s validation and reconciliation of data during payroll processing and by performing routine audits
- Assists in coordinating any off-cycle payments and adjustments, including pay cards
- Assists Payroll Manager in monitoring workload and evaluating direct reports.
- Ensures all facility inquiries are answered timely (generally within 24-hour timeframe)
- Adheres to and analyzes payroll process and procedures making recommendations for process improvements.
- Trains team members on new or enhanced operation procedures and policies.
- Responds to requests for payroll information such as employment and wage verifications, garnishment inquiries, tax notices, third party vendors, reporting for HR/Benefits/Operations, etc.
- Assists with responses to audit, regulatory, and general ledger inquiries and providing data for funding reconciliations.
- Assists with testing system changes
- Assists with year-end processing and W2 questions.
- Assists with special projects, as needed.
- Minimum of an Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years progressive responsibilities in multi-state payroll processing.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have knowledge of federal/state/local tax regulations and have the ability to analyze and provide solutions.
- ADP experience required.
- Attention to detail, accuracy with numbers and efficiency in multi-tasking.
- Proven record of working to tight deadlines while maintaining high level of accuracy in a high-volume processing and fast paced environment.
