About the Role:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Patient Access Supervisor to lead the registration team within the Emergency Department at a respected healthcare facility in Lincoln, NE. Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations of the Emergency Department registration team

Mentor, support, and train both new and existing Patient Access Representatives

Oversee workflows in Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, the ED, and offsite clinics
-
Resolve escalated patient service and operational issues professionally

Enforce policies and procedures aligned with hospital and corporate standards

Monitor performance metrics and financial clearance reports

Perform Patient Access functions as needed

Collaborate with management to meet departmental goals
Supervision:

Direct Reports: Patient Access Representatives I–IV

Reports to: Hiring Manager (open-door policy, available 24/7)
Team Culture:

Qualifications:
Required:

High School Diploma or GED
-
4+ years of experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related field

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
-
Familiarity with healthcare information systems, revenue cycle, and regulatory standards

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
-
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Medical Administration, or related field
-
5+ years of Patient Access experience
-
2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role
Additional Requirements:

Must provide documentation for required vaccinations and health screenings prior to employment (including COVID-19 and influenza)
