Compensation:
  • Salary Range: $111k - $139k 
  • Bonus: 15% AIP Bonus
  • Relocation: Available 

Position Overview:

Wheeler Staffing Partners is assisting our client in the search for a Patient Access Site Director II to oversee patient access operations in Worcester, MA. This role will be responsible for managing patient access processes and implementing strategies to improve overall efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience managing revenue cycle operations, patient access, and multiple sites in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the Patient Access department to ensure effective and efficient patient flow and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify areas of improvement and develop action plans.
  • Manage budget/cost initiatives, ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Mentor and grow staff, including supervisors, ensuring staff engagement and alignment with organizational strategy and mission.
  • Serve as the key liaison for client services, addressing needs, concerns, and requests in relation to patient access without compromising efficiency.
  • Handle staffing activities, including documentation, selection, and training of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and processes related to patient access.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Direct Reports: Manager (Patient Access)
  • Indirect Reports: 3 Supervisors and 45 FTEs (Patient Access Reps)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven leadership and management skills in healthcare or revenue cycle management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with budget management, regulatory compliance, and managing complex operational workflows.
  • Ability to work with C-Suite executives and present metrics-driven reports.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (if less than 10 years of experience)
  • 3-5 years of management experience in Revenue Cycle, Business Services, or Acute Health Care environments.
  • Experience managing multiple sites in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) is preferred but not required.

Work Environment:
  • 100% onsite in Worcester, MA.
  • Office and hospital work environments.
  • Approximately 25% travel may be required.
