Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Framingham, MA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Day Shift
Openings: 4
On-Call Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
Compensation: $37.00–$73.31 per hour, based on years of experience
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000, based on eligibility

Position Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking experienced and patient-focused Operating Room Registered Nurses (RNs) for full-time day shift opportunities in Framingham, Massachusetts. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality perioperative nursing care, supporting patient safety throughout surgical procedures, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgment, operating room experience, and a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical care to surgical patients on a per-shift basis

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process

  • Coordinate and integrate patient care in collaboration with physicians, surgical teams, and other clinical staff

  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgical procedures and respond appropriately to changes in status

  • Deliver nursing care in accordance with patient safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and risk management guidelines

  • Supervise and delegate patient care tasks to appropriate clinical support staff as needed

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory and patient care standards

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation

  • Participate in emergency response procedures and fulfill assigned responsibilities during facility emergencies or disaster situations

  • Maintain knowledge of emergency codes, emergency protocols, and appropriate response procedures

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of patient care and unit operations

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a state-approved or accredited school of nursing

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts

  • Current CPR certification

  • Ability to work day shift schedules, including on-call rotations every other weekend and every other holiday

  • Strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative surgical environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN)

  • Prior operating room nursing experience in an acute care or surgical setting
