About the Role
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Nursing Director for the Emergency Department at a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center located in Rock Hill, SC. This facility provides 24/7 emergency care and supports patient overflow from a nearby Fort Mill facility. Due to the size and scope of the department, we are seeking a seasoned ER nursing leader to drive excellence and lead a large, fast-paced emergency team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the ER, supporting the CNO and hospital operations

Oversee all nursing and designated patient care functions within the emergency department

Ensure 24/7 department oversight, including on-call availability

Lead and develop clinical teams to deliver safe, high-quality care

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing practices across multiple units

Manage departmental resources and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
Education:
-
Required: Associate degree in Nursing with a Bachelor’s in a healthcare-related field or BSN
-
Preferred: MSN or Master’s in a healthcare-related field
Licensure/Certifications:
-
Required: Active RN license in the state of practice

Required: AHA BLS Certification
-
Preferred: Additional specialty certifications
Experience:
-
Required: Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership in a hospital setting (Manager, Charge Nurse, or similar)

Preferred: Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or large ER environment
