Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Non-QM Underwriters to underwrite Non-QM and non-conforming jumbo loans. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of non-QM products and will be responsible for ensuring loans comply with company and investor guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage individual pipeline by completing underwriting reviews and tasks within established timeframes.
- Review borrower profiles, including credit reports, income documentation, assets, and complex business returns.
- Communicate with processing and sales teams to provide updates, clarification on outstanding conditions, and assistance with interpreting underwriting guidelines.
- Perform appraisal analysis to ensure collateral standards are met.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of underwriting experience with a minimum of 3 years in Non-QM.
- Experience with Non-QM and Non-Agency loan products (e.g., Bank Statement Income Analysis, DSCR, Foreign National, Self-Employment).
- Ability to review complex financials and tax profiles.
- Proficiency with mortgage credit analysis and Encompass.
- Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills.
