Medical Laboratory Technologist (Multiple Openings)
Location: Detroit, MI and Commerce Township, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available
Pay Range: $28.00 – $41.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shifts: All Shifts Available – Day, Evening, and Night (8-hour shifts)
Shift Examples:
Shift Differentials: Offered for evenings and weekends

Position Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring Medical Laboratory Technologists for hospital facilities in the Detroit area. In this role, you will perform a variety of laboratory tests on patient specimens, analyze and interpret results, and ensure quality and accuracy in testing procedures.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced with laboratory instrumentation and quality control standards in a clinical or acute care environment.

Position Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring Medical Laboratory Technologists for hospital facilities in the Detroit area. In this role, you will perform a variety of laboratory tests on patient specimens, analyze and interpret results, and ensure quality and accuracy in testing procedures.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced with laboratory instrumentation and quality control standards in a clinical or acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory testing on patient specimens.

Prepare, analyze, and interpret test results in accordance with established laboratory procedures.

Prepare reagents, solutions, media, stains, and other materials required for testing.

Review and report laboratory results accurately and promptly.

Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control checks.

Maintain complete and accurate records of all testing activities.
-
Serve as a technical resource to other laboratory staff as needed.
Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Preferred majors include Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related sciences.

Certification: Must be registered with an approved certifying agency such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CSMLS.

For non-U.S. trained personnel, an equivalency evaluation (ECE, NACES, or AICE) must be completed within 30 days of hire.
Experience:

Licensure: Must hold applicable state licensure, if required.
