Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) Registered Nurse – Days
Location: Fort Mill, SC
Schedule: Days, 3x12 shifts
Openings: 8
Hours of Operation: 24-hour facility
Pay Range: $30 – $44/hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10,000
Differential Pay: Yes
Overtime: Yes
On Call: Yes
Call Back: Yes
Position Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) Registered Nurses – Days to provide high-quality patient care for all ages in a 24-hour facility. The Med Surg RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Initiate and document written plans of care within specified timeframes

Perform patient interventions proficiently, demonstrating age-specific competency
-
Provide appropriate treatment during emergency situations as they arise
-
Verify physician orders, reconcile medications, and ensure accurate scheduling of tests and procedures
-
Follow medication and IV therapy policies, including patient identification and first-dose monitoring
-
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures safely and effectively
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to maintain quality patient care
-
Assist with related duties as required to support unit operations
Education, Licensure & Certification
Required:
-
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN)
-
Permanent Multi-State RN License in the state of residence
-
BLS (Basic Life Support) – must be obtained within 7 days of hire
-
Basic Rhythm Competency – to be completed during orientation
Preferred / Not Required:
-
Previous clinical experience in medical-surgical or acute care settings
Experience
-
Each candidate’s previous clinical experience will be reviewed to determine acceptability
-
Experience in medical-surgical, acute care, or related nursing areas is preferred
Skills & Competencies

Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
-
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities

Effective verbal and written communication
-
Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge of patient safety, medication administration, and hospital protocols

Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting quality outcomes
EMR / Technology
-
Experience with Cerner or Oracle EMR systems preferred
