Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Memphis, TN and Bartlett, TN
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
Pay Range: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus Available
About the Opportunity
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a dedicated Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 510-bed acute care hospital delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This facility provides comprehensive tertiary and acute care services, including Women’s Services, Surgical Services, Bariatric Care, Behavioral Health, Emergency Services, Critical Care, Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg), and Telemetry.
This role is essential in delivering safe, compassionate, and clinically excellent care to patients requiring medical and surgical interventions.
Position Summary
The Med Surg/Telemetry RN provides direct bedside nursing care, performs comprehensive patient assessments, and monitors telemetry patients to ensure optimal outcomes. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a per-shift and unit basis.

Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.

Monitor cardiac telemetry and vital signs; promptly communicate changes in patient condition.

Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

Delegate and supervise nursing support staff to ensure safe, effective care delivery.

Maintain accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Adhere to infection control policies, safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives.

Support leadership initiatives related to staff competency, resource utilization, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Education
-
Required: Graduate of a state-approved or accredited nursing program

Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Licensure & Certifications
-
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (state-specific requirements apply)

Current CPR certification

Successful completion of Criminal Background Check

Successful completion of Drug Screen
