Maintenance Technician Class A 3rd shift

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain production machines and equipment
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during service
- Utilize mechanic skills, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
- Demonstrate the ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products
- Train other maintenance classifications in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures
- Troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems
- Utilize all aspects of the maintenance work order program
- Plan and schedule maintenance work, assigning work to other maintenance classifications according to their abilities and limitations
- Troubleshoot and repair motor circuits, including simple electrical control circuits. Test electric motors for opens and shorts
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as necessary
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
- Follow up on all work to ensure repairs and work are performed properly
- Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with Company guidelines
- Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts
- Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas
- Regular and timely attendance required
- Follow LOTO procedures for machines/equipment
- Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules, and procedures. Strictly follow rules and guidelines and always use the right procedure for the job. Promptly report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. All employees are responsible for upholding safety standards, regulations, and policies.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Three years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience, including diagnosing and troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Successfully demonstrate all Class A qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Good working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques, work order systems, equipment lubrication standards, and industrial safety standards
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Must provide own tools to perform maintenance tasks
