Maintenance Planner / Coordinator
 

SUMMARY
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Coordinator to support our client's ultrapure water system operations at the Phoenix Service Center. The Maintenance Planner/Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, scheduling, and supporting the execution of all maintenance activities. This role involves working closely with maintenance teams, the site supervisor, our client, and external vendors to ensure timely and efficient maintenance, minimizing downtime and optimizing the performance of our systems. The ideal candidate has experience in maintenance planning within a manufacturing or industrial environment, strong organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
 

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:
    • Develop and maintain a detailed maintenance schedule for all ultrapure water systems equipment and components, including routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
    • Coordinate and plan daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks with the maintenance team to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal disruption to production processes.
    • Monitor equipment performance and adjust maintenance plans based on operational needs and equipment conditions.

  • Inventory Management:
    • Track and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring critical parts are available to minimize equipment downtime.
    • Collaborate with procurement to order parts and supplies as needed, maintaining a balance between availability and cost-effectiveness.

  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities, including equipment performance metrics and recommendations for improvements.
    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company/client safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Serve as a point of contact between the maintenance team, site supervisor, our client, and other departments to ensure alignment on maintenance activities and priorities.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
    • Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
    • Support maintenance activities as needed.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS WILL INCLUDE:
  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes, preventive maintenance strategies, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Preferably MAXIMO.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, the client, and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL POSSESS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in a technical field or maintenance management preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning or coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of ultrapure water systems or related equipment is a plus.


OTHER SKILLS THAT WILL SET YOU APART:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex industry-related documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
  • Must have diplomacy to negotiate differences of opinion in design or detailing.


WILL I NEED TO TRAVEL?
This position does not normally require travel. Travel could be required for training purposes.

Josh Graham is the Director of Recruiting and Operations for Wheeler Staffing Partners.  Josh leads and develops Wheeler’s talent acquisition strategies and delivery programs, including workforce/capacity planning, talent attraction, selection practices, and measurement.  Additionally, he is responsible for the process, quality, training, metrics & reporting, full life-cycle recruiting, direct sourcing, and candidate pipelining across many verticals (ie. Josh holds over 14 years of Talent Acquisition experience and has been with WSP for 6 years; he joined Wheeler because he wanted to have the opportunity to grow and work alongside his mentor, Tim.  He has fifteen years of recruiting experience and where he has had the opportunity to expand relationships with clients and candidates.
