Job Description
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Maintenance Improvement Engineer with a paper-based packing client in Forney, TX. This position will provide support to the Liner Mill Maintenance Department, including troubleshooting and day-to-day technical support of the operations group, capital project management, leadership of continuous improvement projects, training of operations group personnel, and support of safety improvement projects. This is an on-site roll, reporting to the Forney mill Mon-Fri.

Maintenance Reliability Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate equipment performance and maintenance costs to identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities.
- Manage contractors for maintenance repair and installation activities
- Manage contractors weekly timesheets; including taxable, non-taxable, outage work, and emergency work
- Monitor and develop projects to address equipment with high life cycle costs
- Alternate maintenance call duty with Maintenance Manager
- Act as backup for Maintenance Manager during his absence
- Prepare justification, budget, and schedule for small capital projects
- Implement the projects once approved
- Manage maintenance improvement projects identified through RFCA and Pareto analysis
Maintenance Reliability Engineer Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar study required
- Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience
- High level of mechanical aptitude in order to understand the complex workings of the papermaking process
- Demonstrated capabilities in project and time management
- Training and certification in Six Sigma or similar curriculum, and proven work experience.
- High energy, with the ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency required
