Inpatient Center Team Director – 12-Bed Inpatient Unit
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: $105K - $115K (dependent on experience, no sign-on bonus)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (on-call flexibility required)
Education: Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s preferred
Position Overview
We are seeking a strong and experienced clinical leader to oversee a 12-bed inpatient hospice unit in Chicago, IL. This role requires an individual who can provide direct leadership, foster stability, and support their team both administratively and clinically. The Team Director will be responsible for managing a diverse team of nurses, aides, and social workers, ensuring high-quality patient care, and stepping in for direct patient care when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of RNs, Aides, and Social Workers, serving as the first line of defense for staff challenges.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care, particularly for high-acuity patients (trachs, vents, wound care, IVs, etc.).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and leadership to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
  • Maintain flexibility in schedule to meet team and patient needs, including on-call responsibilities.
  • Foster team stability, structure, and a positive work culture.
  • Step in for direct patient care when needed due to staffing shortages or high-acuity cases.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Preferred background in hospice, home health, or acute hospital settings (e.g., Unit Manager, Clinical Manager).
    • Leadership experience with a proven ability to bring stability and structure to a team.
    • Strong clinical skills with experience in high-acuity care (trachs, vents, wound care, IVs, etc.).
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Effective problem-solving and adaptability to meet patient and team needs.
    • Leadership that inspires trust, confidence, and teamwork.
