Compensation: $105,000 – $135,000
Work Schedule: 100% On-Site (No Remote)

Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced and results-driven IT Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a leading provider of infrastructure and technology solutions. This position is based onsite in either the Metairie (corporate HQ) or Baton Rouge office.
Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the IT Project Manager will lead and deliver a wide range of IT projects including software development, infrastructure upgrades, and enterprise system implementations. This is a key role responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with strategic business goals.

Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the IT Project Manager will lead and deliver a wide range of IT projects including software development, infrastructure upgrades, and enterprise system implementations. This is a key role responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with business stakeholders.
- Create detailed project plans including charters, schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
- Ensure execution of projects is aligned with company strategy and IT governance frameworks.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including internal staff and external vendors/consultants.
- Facilitate effective communication of project status, milestones, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Manage transitions from project deployment to operations and support.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with internal project management standards and best practices.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess effectiveness and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing IT projects (software, infrastructure, or systems implementations).
- Strong command of project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Asana.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Master’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- PMP, CSM, or similar project management certification.
- Experience in enterprise IT environments, including cloud computing and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT service management frameworks.
- Knowledge of IT financial/resource planning.
Work Environment & Travel:
- Position is 100% onsite (Metairie or Baton Rouge office).
- Occasional travel required (approximately 20%).
