Overview:
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the organization’s quality control and assurance processes. This includes developing and maintaining quality standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, analyzing quality data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement. The role also involves mentoring junior team members and maintaining alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Quality Control & Assurance:

Establish and maintain quality control standards, procedures, and policies aligned with regulations and customer requirements.

Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory codes and industry standards.

Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, predict potential issues, and support decision-making.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management.

Lead or support process improvement initiatives and defect reduction efforts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-
Work closely with estimating, engineering, project planning, and the fabrication shop to address quality issues.

Assist with the implementation of corrective actions and support new product solutions.
Training & Development:
-
Provide mentorship and coaching to junior quality control professionals.
-
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence across the organization.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2 years of construction quality control experience, or 10 years of quality control experience on large commercial construction projects.

OSHA 30 Certification.
-
Completion of 20 hours of continuing education.
-
Quality Control training certification.
-
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction codes.

Familiarity with regulatory agency requirements for quality control.

Ability to read and understand contracts, subcontracts, plans, specifications, and other construction documents.

Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
-
Effective communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
-
Flexibility to handle tasks beyond the core job description.
-
Industry awareness and understanding of competitors.
Preferred:

Experience handling construction claims.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

Prolonged desk and computer use.

Occasional stair climbing and stationary positions (standing, kneeling, sitting).

Repetitive wrist/hand/finger motions.
