We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join a growing team. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. Primary Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding
- Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and conducting initial interviews.
- Facilitate onboarding for new hires, including orientation, training, and paperwork completion.
2. Coworker Relations
- Act as a point of contact for coworker concerns and grievances, ensuring timely resolution.
- Promote a positive work environment by addressing workplace issues and fostering strong coworker relations.
3. Benefits Administration
- Administer coworker benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist coworkers with benefits inquiries and coordinate with benefits providers as needed.
4. Compliance and Record-Keeping
- Ensure company practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential coworker records, including personnel files and compliance documentation.
5. Performance Management
- Support performance appraisal processes by tracking and documenting coworker evaluations.
- Assist managers with performance management issues and the development of improvement plans.
6. Training and Development
- Coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities for coworkers.
- Assist in identifying training needs and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives.
7. HR Policies and Procedures
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Communicate policy changes to coworkers and provide guidance on HR-related matters.
8. Payroll Support
- Work with Accounting to ensure accuracy in compensation, deductions, and benefits administration.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
9. Coworker Engagement and Retention
- Organize coworker engagement and sustainability activities to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
10. Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing HR documentation.
- SHRM or HRCI certification or bachelor’s degree in human resources required.
- 3 – 5 years of proven experience in an HR role.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Possibility of an annual bonus based on company revenue targets and individual performance goals (typically between 3 – 5%).
- Bonus for 2024 will be based on compensation and performance in the upcoming year.
