Job Description
Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)Â
Location: Sacramento, CA
Territory Coverage: Openness to covering Sacramento County and assisting in bordering cities within Placer, El Dorado, Yolo, and Solano Counties due to the smaller site size.
Position Details:
- Role: Hospice RN Case Manager
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- On Call Requirements: Backup on-call rotation on Sundays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and as needed for coverage when the LVN After Hours team is unavailable.
- Pay Range: $46 - $55 per hour, with flexibility for highly experienced candidates.
- Mileage Reimbursement: $0.62/mile
Essential Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recent hospice experience is required due to the high acuity level. Familiarity with admissions and cross-training is essential as this is a small team environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork. Current census is approximately 30 patients.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Active RN license in the state of operation.
- Valid CPR certification preferred.
- Licensed driver with the ability to travel to various business locations.
- Compliance with state-specific regulations and requirements for hospice services.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Experience: Minimum of one year as a registered nurse preferred, with at least one year of hospice-specific experience required.
- Skills: Collaborative team player, strong clinical skills, and flexible to support team needs.

- Sacramento County: Primary service area.
- Placer County: Including Roseville, Lincoln, New Castle, Rocklin, Penryn, Granite Bay, and Loomis.
- El Dorado County: Eldorado Hills only.
