Job Title: Physical Therapist (Inpatient & Outpatient)
Location: Worcester, MA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Open Positions: 4 Total
• 2 Inpatient Physical Therapists
• 2 Outpatient Physical Therapists

Schedule: Day Shift | 8-hour shifts
Some weekend shifts required

Compensation: $39.00 – $61.28 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Available


Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking licensed Physical Therapists for multiple full-time opportunities in Worcester, Massachusetts. We are hiring for both inpatient and outpatient settings, offering a dynamic environment where clinicians can provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients with a variety of conditions.

The Physical Therapist evaluates, develops, and implements individualized treatment programs designed to improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and help patients achieve the highest possible level of independence. This role collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Evaluation & Treatment

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on physician referrals and clinical assessment
• Administer and interpret functional tests and measurements to determine patient progress and therapy needs
• Implement evidence-based treatment interventions to restore functional mobility, reduce pain, and improve quality of life
• Modify treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress and reassessment findings

Patient Care & Clinical Documentation

• Review patient charts, medical histories, and physician orders prior to treatment
• Develop functional goals aligned with patient needs, expectations, and rehabilitation objectives
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation team members to coordinate patient care
• Seek clarification of physician orders when needed to ensure appropriate treatment delivery
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient case discussions

Patient Education

• Educate patients and families on treatment goals, therapy techniques, and home exercise programs
• Promote safe mobility and functional independence through patient-centered education and support


Required Qualifications

Education

• Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy required

Licensure & Certifications

• Active State Physical Therapy License required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required


Preferred Qualifications

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience practicing as a Physical Therapist in a healthcare setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, evaluation methods, and treatment techniques
• Ability to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care


Work Environment

• Clinical healthcare setting including inpatient rehabilitation or outpatient therapy services
• Regular interaction with patients, physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation team members
• Physical activity required, including assisting patients with movement and mobility exercises
• Ability to manage multiple patients and therapy plans in a fast-paced environment
