Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and equipment are available and functional.

Perform patient assessments and implement individualized care plans in the OR.

Serve as scrub or circulating nurse during surgeries, adhering to surgical protocols and aseptic technique.

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and other healthcare professionals.

Monitor patients’ physiological responses during surgery and take appropriate action.

Document surgical procedures accurately and in a timely manner.

Support OR turnover and prepare for subsequent cases to maintain workflow efficiency.

Comply with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

Provide guidance and oversight to support staff to maintain clinical standards and quality of care.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required)
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
-
Current and active RN license in Massachusetts (required)
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
-
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)
-
CNOR certification (preferred)
Experience:
-
Previous OR nursing experience strongly preferred (scrub or circulating)
Additional Requirements:

Pre-employment background check, drug screen, and health clearance required

Must comply with current vaccination mandates or approved exemption, with regular testing for exempt individuals
