Job Description
Job Title: Paramedic
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Rock Hill, SC
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Compensation: $25.00 – $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 (paid over 2 years)
Shift Differential: $2.50 (nights) | $2.75 (weekends)
Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Paramedic to join an EMS team in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This role is responsible for providing advanced life support (ALS), emergency medical care, and patient stabilization in high-pressure environments.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, quick decision-making skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to 911 emergency calls and provide life-saving care at accident or illness scenes
- Perform advanced life support (ALS) interventions and emergency procedures
- Safely transport patients while continuously monitoring and managing their condition
- Accurately document patient care, treatments, and transport details
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national EMS protocols and regulations
- Collaborate with EMS personnel, hospital staff, and first responders
- Maintain ambulance readiness, including equipment checks and restocking
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of full-time experience as a 911 EMS provider (preferred)
- Strong clinical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
Education
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school (preferred)
Certifications & Requirements
- South Carolina Paramedic Certification (required at time of offer)
- National Registered Paramedic (NRP) Certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PEPP (required within orientation period)
- NIMS Compliance (ICS 100, 200, 700, 800) required within orientation
- Valid South Carolina or North Carolina driver’s license
- Must pass background check and drug screening
