Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a PACU PRN Rotating role in Memphis, TN. This position provides direct patient care and supports high-quality clinical outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.

Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a PACU PRN Rotating role in Memphis, TN. This position provides direct patient care and supports high-quality clinical outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
This role includes participation in an on-call rotation and requires flexibility across shifts.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct, age-appropriate patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
-
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans per shift
-
Monitor patient recovery following anesthesia and surgical procedures
-
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital policy
-
Supervise delegated staff and ensure quality patient care delivery
-
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
-
Promote patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
-
Support nursing leadership in maintaining competency and operational excellence
-
Follow all state and facility policies, procedures, and standards of care
Required Qualifications
-
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
-
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or higher)
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a PACU setting
-
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required upon hire)
-
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
-
Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s Degree in Nursing
-
Prior experience in acute care or surgical services
Certifications Required (Within 3 Months of Hire)

ACLS – Required for PACU and applicable nursing units
-
PALS – Required for nurses supporting Emergency Department functions
-
CPI – Required for designated float pool or behavioral health support roles
