Director of Credentialing & Enrollment
Job Description
Job Title: Director, Credentialing & Enrollment
Location: Dallas, TX (On-site, 5 days/week)
Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Pay Rate: $52–$67/hour ($110K–$140K annually)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position Summary
The Director, Credentialing & Enrollment provides strategic leadership and oversight of all provider enrollment and credentialing operations. This role develops, implements, and maintains scalable, compliant processes to ensure clinicians are properly enrolled with payors. The Director manages budgeting, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and process improvements to align with organizational and revenue cycle goals.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations

Direct credentialing and provider enrollment programs across clients and service lines.

Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for group provider enrollment.

Oversee new group set-ups and submission of required documentation.

Manage credentialing and enrollment teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Process Design & Optimization
-
Design, implement, and optimize credentialing workflows, systems, and tools.

Reduce manual processes and enhance compliance-driven automation.

Collaborate with Recruiting and Operations to implement best practices.
Policy & Compliance
-
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
-
Ensure compliance with federal, state, payor, and client requirements.

Maintain expertise in regulatory changes, industry trends, and technologies.
-
Safeguard sensitive information and ensure data security compliance.
Performance & Reporting
-
Develop and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
-
Build and maintain dashboards for executive and operational leadership.
-
Monitor enrollment accuracy to prevent timely filing issues and held A/R.

Partner with Finance and Billing to resolve enrollment-related revenue issues.
Project Management
-
Lead credentialing and enrollment projects with detailed timelines.

Facilitate meetings with billing companies regarding enrollment status.

Track project performance using appropriate systems and tools.
Stakeholder Collaboration
-
Partner with Medical Directors, Market Presidents, and Clinical Executive Leaders on credentialing needs.

Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, third parties, and leadership.

Foster a culture of customer service within the department.
Systems Administration
-
Serve as System Administrator for Operations Dashboard.

Manage user access and termination protocols.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Interview, hire, train, and onboard staff.

Plan and assign work; conduct performance evaluations.

Address complaints and resolve operational issues.
Required Qualifications
Education:
-
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Experience:
-
3–5 years of leadership experience
-
3+ years managing provider enrollment and credentialing or related healthcare operations
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
-
5+ years healthcare management experience
-
Experience in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
-
Knowledge of payor enrollment compliance and A/R impact
