Job Title: Finance Manager, Healthcare
Location: Dallas, TX
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office (Tuesday–Thursday); full-time in office required for first 60 days for onboarding and training
Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $115,000–$135,000 (based on experience)

  • Bonus: Discretionary year-end bonus

  • 401(k): 4% match with immediate vesting (paid annually as a lump sum)

  • Paid Time Off:

    • 20 days PTO in year one

    • 25 days PTO in years 2–5

Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Finance Manager to support a healthcare management organization based in Dallas, TX. This role focuses on preparing monthly operating reports (MORs), conducting financial analysis, managing a small team, and supporting physician group performance across multiple business entities. The Finance Manager will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams, providing insights and analytics that drive key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review monthly financial close and reporting activities

  • Prepare and deliver monthly operating reports (MORs) for multiple clinical entities

  • Conduct variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling

  • Manage and mentor a small team (2–3 analysts)

  • Analyze performance KPIs including payer mix, patient volume, acuity levels, and cash per visit

  • Participate in pro forma planning, budgeting, and financial modeling for client onboarding

  • Collaborate with executive leadership, client stakeholders, and internal departments

  • Develop reporting tools and ensure consistency across deliverables

  • Perform ad hoc analysis, reports, and financial insights for ongoing operations

  • Lead special projects related to new services or operational changes
Qualifications:
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required)

  • MBA or other advanced degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or FP&A, ideally within the healthcare industry

  • Background in supporting multiple service lines or regions

  • Experience leading or supervising a team

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with financial systems, SQL, or data management tools preferred

  • Ability to interpret and present complex financial data to diverse audiences
Work Environment:

  • Hybrid work schedule based in Dallas, TX

  • Standard in-office days: Tuesday–Thursday

  • First 60 days require full in-office attendance for training

  • Additional on-site days may be required based on business needs

  • Occasional travel to hospital locations or external vendors
