Compensation
Estimated Annual Compensation: $70,000 – $86,000
This position is paid on a per-visit basis. The compensation reflected is an estimate of annual earnings for full-time status.
Per-Visit Pay Structure
- Single visit type structure
- Minimum productivity expectation: 32 visits per week
- Example annual earnings:
- 32 visits per week × $36 per visit × 52 weeks = $59,904
- Ability to increase visit volume and earnings beyond the minimum requirement
- No cap on earning potential
Position Overview
Location: Austin, TX is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support patients in a home health setting in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for nursing professionals who enjoy working independently while delivering personalized, high-quality care directly in patients’ homes. The LVN will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct skilled nursing visits in patients’ homes in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans
- Monitor, assess, and evaluate patient conditions, including chronic disease management and post-acute recovery
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and lifestyle modifications
- Travel to patient homes within the assigned coverage area while maintaining effective time management
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience
- Home health experience preferred, but not required
Licensure and Certifications
- Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of Texas
- Current CPR or BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
Pay and Schedule Details
- Per-visit pay model based on visit type and complexity
- Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some flexibility
- Minimum expectation of 32 visits per week
