Job Description
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Fire Sprinkler Designer in Royse City, TX. As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you'll work under the supervision of the Design Manager to create NFPA-compliant fire sprinkler designs using AutoCAD. Your role combines technical skills and knowledge, including selecting sprinkler system components, analyzing hazards, understanding fluid dynamics, and interpreting fire codes and industry standards. You'll also contribute to site surveys, design drafts, material lists, and field surveys, ensuring the successful installation of fire sprinkler systems. We're looking for someone eager to learn, highly motivated, and maintains a positive, professional demeanor.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop design drawings and hydraulic calculations for fire protection systems in commercial and residential buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
- Show enthusiasm for learning new systems and technologies in the fire protection field.
- Continuously grow your fire protection knowledge through hands-on experience and independent study.
- Manage and maintain project drawing files and libraries, ensuring accuracy and organization.
- Take ownership of your work, ensuring precision and quality.
- Collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
- Coordinate on-site for the installation of sprinkler piping.
- Minimum three years of experience in fire sprinkler design.
- RME-G license required
- Mechanical and mathematical skills, with a strong drive to excel.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a willingness to learn additional software.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work with computer systems for extended periods, with occasional site visits and moderate lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Flexibility for occasional travel, including out-of-town trips.
