Job Description
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician in Dallas, TX. This position includes installing, servicing, and testing high-end commercial fire/burglar alarm systems. This is a full-time role. Apply today!
Fire Alarm Technician Responsibilities:
- Willingness to work in Commercial, Industrial, and Construction environments
- Performs Service/Installation of Fire Alarm Systems and building inspections.
- Ability to read and follow project schedules, CADs, and system connection sheets.
- Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots systems and performs repairs as necessary.
- Perform programming and configuration upgrades as required for service or to add devices for increased functionality and other systems as needed.
- Completes additions to systems for maintenance and increased functionality, as well as usability.
- Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety/security concerns.
- Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots systems and performs repairs as necessary.
- Execute bi-annual testing of fire and life safety systems.
- Monitors and maintains the operation and integrity of the fire and life safety systems.
- Performs codes that required maintenance, testing, and inspection of facility fire and life safety systems. Also assists and directs contractors with required fire and Life Safety inspections and work correction of any resulting deficiencies.
- Completes reports and documentation to include gathering data through field measurements and observations, analysis, and various research methods.
Fire Alarm Technician Requirements:
- 2+ years experience as Lead Technician (in addition to experience) or
4+ years of alarm technical experience required.
Residential & Commercial Fire Alarm and building inspection experience. - Must have a FAL.
- NICET II Certification in one or more of the following, Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Alarm Systems Testing, Water-Based Systems Testing, OR State Licensed Fire Alarm Technician preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid TX Drivers’ License and proof of auto insurance
- Ability to adapt to work on various shifts and occasional travel assignments.
- Lift, pull, move, climb, and bend throughout the shift.
