Fire Alarm Assistant

Are you experienced in cable pulling, electrical work, satellite installation, or low-voltage wiring? Looking to grow your skills in a rapidly expanding and high-demand industry? Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Fire Alarm Assistant to support fire and life safety installations across the DFW area. This is your chance to step into a rewarding trade career where you’ll learn from industry pros and work with cutting-edge systems in both residential and commercial environments.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Assist with the installation, service, and testing of fire alarms, burglar alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
-
Pull and route low-voltage cabling through ceilings, walls, conduit, j-hooks, etc.

Install and mount devices such as smoke detectors, pull stations, door contacts, and video cameras
-
Help with wiring, final connections, system testing, and equipment troubleshooting

Support Lead Installers, Foremen, and Supervisors on active job sites

Read basic blueprints, wiring diagrams, or follow direction for device and cable placement

Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Experience in cable pulling, electrical, satellite install, AV/TV mounting, low-voltage wiring, or security system installation

General knowledge of hand tools, power drills, and ladders

Ability to work on construction sites or in finished spaces (residential & commercial)

Strong work ethic and interest in learning the fire alarm trade
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
1–2 years of construction, electrical, or installation experience preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Willingness to work on-site across DFW
