We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Financial Advisor to join a top-performing RIA in Dallas, TX, managing over $1 billion in assets. This position requires a polished professional who is proactive, engaging, and capable of building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a consultative approach, providing advisory services rather than focusing on aggressive sales. This firm offers a collaborative work environment, leadership mentorship, and a clear career path, with significant growth opportunities.
Key Traits and Background
- Personality Fit: Seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a Type A, consultative approach—someone who is comfortable and confident in client interactions but without an overly aggressive sales mentality.
- Experience: Ideal candidates come from reputable firms like Schwab or Fisher Investments, where they have honed client management and advisory skills. Preference given to those with a minimum of 5 years in the industry, though candidates with slightly less experience may be considered.
- Ideal Profile: A polished, client-facing professional with a strong track record in the financial advisory field. We welcome candidates who have progressed within the industry by moving companies, provided they have demonstrated upward mobility and adaptability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships by managing client portfolios, making financial recommendations, and advising on financial goals—without a focus on aggressive sales.
- Planning and Analysis: Conduct risk tolerance assessments, prepare financial plans, and discuss asset allocation strategies, always prioritizing client needs.
- Client Meetings: Meet with clients regularly to review financial goals, adjust plans, and answer any questions.
- Advisory Work: Develop and present insurance cases, asset allocation strategies, and investment policy statements in alignment with client objectives.
- Business Development: Grow assets under management through referrals and client relationship expansion, with a focus on client satisfaction and advisory excellence.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Fiduciary Focus: Must be comfortable working in a fiduciary capacity, prioritizing client interests at every stage.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney) is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Education: College degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in financial advisory roles.
- Certifications: Series 7 & Series 66 (or 63/65) FINRA registration required.
