Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 2 days remote / 3 days in office, as needed)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $110,000 – $140,000


Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Dallas, TX. This role requires a hands-on leader who is actively involved in the day-to-day employee relations process. The Employee Relations Manager will oversee the employee relations function, provide guidance on escalated issues, and manage a team dedicated to employee relations initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring experience from a large organization with 10,000 or more employees and will have a proven ability to resolve complex employee relations matters while driving workforce performance and compliance.


Responsibilities

  • Counsel and advise managers, supervisors, and leaders on personnel issues to improve workforce performance.

  • Supervise and evaluate Employee Relations Consultants and administrative staff.

  • Review and approve disciplinary actions; draft clear and accurate disciplinary communications.

  • Counsel employees on grievance and discipline policies, employee rights, and responsibilities.

  • Conduct timely and impartial investigations into workplace issues including harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.

  • Represent the organization in unemployment compensation appeal hearings, including preparation of documentation and witnesses.

  • Manage HR policy development and revision processes to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to employment laws and organizational policies.

  • Track and analyze employee relations metrics, trends, and recommend proactive strategies.

  • Support change management initiatives such as reorganizations, workforce transitions, and culture programs.

  • Develop and present training programs related to employee relations and compliance.

  • Direct and collaborate on HR and employee relations projects and initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in the HR/Employee Relations database.

  • Serve in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the HR Director.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field (Required).

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional HR experience, including:

  • At least 5 years in employee relations.

  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role within employee relations.

  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in large organizations (10,000+ employees).

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage sensitive employee relations matters with discretion.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and workplace investigation processes.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization.


    Work Environment

    • Hybrid schedule: 2 days remote, 3 days in office, with flexibility as needed.

    • Must be located in Dallas, TX.
